Blake Lively en 'haar' zijn al net zo verbonden als Kylie Jenner en 'Lip Kits'. Wanneer de actrice dus een nieuwe kleur of kapseltrend rockt, springt de wereld erbovenop. Zo ook vorig jaar.
De actrice was zwanger van haar eerste dochtertje James en werd op de kiek gezet met een donkerdere haarkleur dan we van haar gewend zijn:
De kleur werd meteen geschaard onder de 'Bronde'- (bruinblond)/ 'Tortoise Shell-trend' die toen gaande was en talloze fans stonden te popelen om hun lokken bij de kapper ook in de kleur te dopen.
Blakes haarverandering kreeg lovende reacties, maar... de actrice was er zelf allesbehalve fan van. Aan onze Amerikaanse collega's van Cosmopolitan onthult ze nu dat de haarkleur gewoon was ontstaan uit luiheid:
'I just didn't really feel like dyeing it,. I thought, I'm pregnant, I get to be selfish and not be vain, and I'm just gonna let my hair grow. And then I think people thought I was trying to do a thing with it during my first pregnancy. So I had, like, 5-inch roots and then blonde hair. Everyone thought it was a choice. It was not a choice. They called it tortoise hair or something? It was not intentional — the thing is, we didn't want people to know we were pregnant, so they didn't know for seven months. Nobody had seen my hair in, like, five months, so to everyone, it was just one day, I went from being blonde to having 5-inch roots, and people thought, Oh, that was a cool rock 'n' roll choice, but it was just pure laziness.'
En hoewel de kapseltrend nog steeds hot is, zul je Blake Lively er niet snel meer mee spotten:
'I was so embarrassed of it, and everybody, my friends, were like, 'Your hair, come on!' They were trying to have hair interventions with me. But it just goes to show you that if some people say it's cool, and everybody jumps on the bandwagon and thinks it's cool, your perception changes. So then I - along with my friends who hated it - thought it was cool, haha!'
Deze week werd Blake Lively gespot met een wel heel cool Valentijnskapsel én kersverse blonde highlights. Serena van der Woodsen zou trots zijn:
