Eindelijk draait-ie in de bioscoop: The Shallows, de bloedstollende haaienfilm met een Blake Lively in perfecte shape. Of, zoals ze het zelf zegt in de Australische radioshow Kylie & Jackie:

'I've never been in that good of shape in my whole life so to do it [get that bikini body] after having a kid was actually really nice. Because you see your body after having a kid, and it's beautiful because you just gave birth but you also say, 'oh my god, this is not what my body looked like.' You feel like you're never going to get your body back again. But you can! But that was what was encouraging about it!'

Natuurlijk sportte ze flink om dat figuur te krijgen, maar ze schrapte ook twee dingen uit haar dieet, die hebben bijgedragen aan de snelheid waarmee ze haar killer figuur weer terugkreeg na haar zwangerschap: gluten en soja.

'I did no gluten and no soy. Which seems like 'Oh, that's really easy to cut that out,' but you realize, there's soy in everything, like, everything you eat, there is soy. And even if it's healthy, Whole Foods, organic stuff, there's always soy in it. So once you remove soy, you realize you're eating just like, no processed foods.'

Gelukkig mocht Blake - toch een behoorlijk groot liefhebber van eten - nog genoeg wél.

'I was still able to have sugar and all of those things. It's all in moderation. You know, you just have a balance of protein, carbs, and vegetables. And it wasn't the worst. Like, I was eating rice and sushi and you know but just no soy and no gluten. And watch how hard that is!'
