Lauren Conrad is, met haar perfect gedraaide krullen, schattige tuttebellenjurkjes en voorliefde voor bloemenblaadjes op ALLES nu niet echt een baanbrekend type. Daar kon je lang of kort over doen, maar Lauren Conrad doet er dus liever heel kort over.
In een interview met de Amerikaanse Cosmopolitan zegt ze:
'I probably am pretty basic. But I'm also a pretty happy person, so that's OK with me.'
Dus dat is dat. En waarom zou ze ook niet pretty happy zijn? Kijk maar:
Wat verder in het interview vertelt ze ook nog iets over The Hills, en dan vooral wat het haar heeft gebracht. Een plekje in de mode dus, en een dikke huid:
> 'Television was just sort of an accident … I never felt really strongly about it. But fashion is something I feel passionate about. If I hadn't done TV, I still would have ended up in the [fashion] industry, but I definitely wouldn't be in the position I am now.'
> 'When I did television, scandal was always around me. And I think one of the best things [about that] for me is that your life becomes more big-picture. You have to develop a thick skin really quickly. It toughened me up, which is good.'
