Zondag was daar dan eindelijk de bevestiging van Netflix: 13 Reasons Why krijgt een vervolg. Het nieuws ging - uiteraard - hartstikke viral, dus toen de sterren van Netflix' hitshow diezelfde avond naar de MTV Movie & TV Awards en Netflix' eigen FYSee-event togen, werden ze belaagd door journalisten.
Waar gaat het tweede 13 Reasons Why-seizoen over?
Katherine Langford (Hannah) onthulde aan E! News waar zij op hoopt voor het volgende seizoen:
'Personally, I would be interested to see…more discussion into what's happening afterwards. It's interesting in the first season we get to see what the characters go through post-Hannah's death. I think Jessica's story is a really interesting story to tell - and recovery to make.'
Het eerste seizoen van 13 Reasons Why eindigde met Tony die de tapes aan de ouders van Hannah gaf en Alex die door zijn hoofd was geschoten. Maar was het zelfmoord of toch Tyler?
Miles Heizer, die Alex vertolkt, laat aan The Hollywood Reporter weten:
'It was interesting to see similarities between Alex and Hannah, because there are a lot of warning signs throughout the season.That's another subject that's very rarely shown onscreen and is probably a lot more common than people think it is - people attempting to take their lives and it not happening, I'm sure that will bring a crazy set of issues. It would be interesting to go into that.'
