Olivia Colman won in de categorie beste vrouwelijke bijrol voor haar rol in de dramaserie The Accused. Ze speelde ook de beste vrouwelijke rol in een comedyprogramma, het satirische Twenty Twelve.
Sheridan Smith won in de categorie beste vrouwelijke hoofdrol voor haar prestatie in de dramaserie Mrs. Biggs en gaf daarmee Sienna Miller (genomineerd voor haar hoofdrol in The Girl) het nakijken. Bij de mannen ging de Bafta voor beste hoofdrol naar Ben Whishaw, die Q speelt in de Bondfilms, voor zijn rol in Richard II (The Hollow Crown).
Last Tango in Halifax was de beste dramaserie van het afgelopen jaar, The Graham Norton Show (ELLE is fan!) het beste entertainmentprogramma. Graham Norton zelf praatte ook de uitreiking van de tv-prijzen aan elkaar. Voor de liefhebbers: hieronder alle winnaars op een rij.
