Goed nieuws voor de fans van The Devil Wears Prada. Er komt een spin-offboek: When Life Gives You Lululemons. Het boek zal de focus van Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway in de film) naar Emily Charlton verschuiven, Miranda Priestly's (Meryl Streep) andere, heerlijk botte assistent die in de succesvolle film werd gespeeld door Emily Blunt.
Schrijfster Lauren Weisberger maakte dit maandag bekend via Instagram.
In het nieuwe boek, dat volgende zomer zal verschijnen, is Emily geen assistent meer maar een imagoconsultant. Niet meer werkzaam in New York maar in de - slik - buitenwijken van Greenwich, Connecticut. Hier een kleine samenvatting:
Now a high-profile image consultant, Emily must travel to depths she never dreamed she'd have to face: the suburbs of Greenwich, Connecticut. But that's where the dream client she desperately needs to land takes her, as she begins work for A-lister Karolina Hartwell, who has a DUI to overcome. Of When Life Gives You Lululemons ook verfilmd zal worden, hangt waarschijnlijk af van het succes van het boek dat 5 juni 2018 in Amerika zal verschijnen.
