Niet iedereen was blij toen de makers Carrie Bradshaw in de allerlaatste aflevering van Sex and the City tóch met Mr. Big lieten eindigen.
Zelfs de man achter de populaire serie, Darren Star, onthulde vorige maand dat hij het eigenlijk een slechte zet vond, omdat het 'juist verloochende waar de serie om draaide, namelijk dat vrouwen niét het ultieme geluk halen uit een huwelijk.'
Sarah Jessica Parker a.k.a. Carrie Bradshaw bemoeit zich nu met de discussie en vertelt tegen Yahoo Style wat zij vindt van Darren Stars opmerking:
'As I recall, the way Carrie and Big married was something she wanted rather than a feeling that life was slipping away and she best settle quickly. I don't think of it as someone diminishing herself by letting a man marry her - it always felt that she had arrived at that on her own. But the beauty is we can all have lots and lots of opinions about lots of choices Carrie made that we object to or that we stand by. If that's Darren's feeling, I think it's interesting!'
Een hele diplomatieke manier om te zeggen 'Ik ben nog steeds Team Big!'. En daar zijn we stiekem best wel blij mee.
