Vannacht zijn de Grammy Awards weer uitgereikt. Adele zong een beetje vals, Justin Bieber carpoolde met James Corden en Taylor Swift won al voor de show was begonnen.
Grote winnaar, met 5 prijzen, was Kendrick Lamar die tijdens de ceremonie een geweldig optreden gaf. Daarnaast ging ook Taylor Swift met goed gevulde handen naar huis, ze won onder andere Album of the Year met 1989. Ze nam de prijs met de volgende woorden in ontvangst:
“I want to thank the fans for the last 10 years. As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: There are are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you will know that it’s you and the people that love you that puts you there.”
Maar ook Ed Sheeran, Alabama Shakes en zelfs Justin Bieber gingen met prijzen naar huis. Voor Justin was het een extra speciale avond, omdat hij zijn ALLEREERSTE Grammy binnensleepte. Zo reageerde hij daarop op social media:
