Glee-actrice Naya Rivera heeft een autobiografie geschreven waarin ze even serieus uit.de.school.klapt. En dan ook écht.
De 29-jarige Naya onthult in haar boek Sorry, Not Sorry (toepasselijke naam) verhalen over haar Glee-tegenspelers én ex Big Sean. En daar zal Ariana Grande niet echt blij mee zijn. Naya schrijft dat de rapper al iets begon met de zangeres toen ze nog verloofd waren. Ouch. Naya schrijft:
'We'd been fighting for five straight days while he was traveling, and then on the one day that he was back in LA, he said he didn't want to see me. Well, asshole, I've got a key to your house. I walk in, go downstairs, and guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music? It rhymes with 'Smariana Schmande.'
Om de boel nog een beetje pijnlijker te maken, stuurde de rapper, die inderdaad begon te daten met 'Smariana Schmande', er een statement uit dat-ie weer vrijgezel was en dat de trouwerij niet doorging, zónder dat Naya daarvan op de hoogte was:
'I learned that I was no longer getting married from the Internet, and at the same time as the rest of the world. Not only were we no longer getting married, but apparently we weren't even together anymore.'
Wat je verder in het boek kunt verwachten? Véél verhalen over haar Glee-tijd en haar veelbesproken tegenspelers. Zo weten we nu dat:
1. haar ruzie met Lea Michele (aka Rachel) echt was. Ze mogen elkaar niet.
2. de Glee-cast bezorgd was om de in 2013 overleden Cory Monteith:
'I doubt I'm alone in feeling a lot of regret about his death. Since he died, a lot of us have spent time wondering and talking about what would have happened if someone had stepped in or confronted him about what was going on. Or what if he'd been trying to talk to someone about what was going on and just thought no one cared? Like, maybe that one time when it was just the two of us walking out to our cars, maybe if I would have just walked a little bit slower and hadn't been in such a hurry to get home, maybe he would have seen it as an opportunity to bring something up.'
3. Naya wist dat haar ex en Glee-acteur Mark Salling - die onlangs is opgepakt wegens bezit van kinderporno - geen goede gast was:
'I can't say I was totally shocked, but still–WTF? My son's nanny actually told me about it when the story broke. Then I had no doubt that God really did have my back along the way. When Mark dumped me, I thought it was the worst thing ever, but can you imagine if that didn't happen? And I was laying there in bed when the battering ram came through the door? I think everyone should have that one relationship where you look back and ask yourself, 'What the hell was I thinking?' You'll learn something and you won't regret it. Unless, of course, that relationship was with someone who had a sizable stash of child porn on his computer. Then, by all means, regret everything.'
