Liever zien we foto's van onszelf van tien jaar geleden nooit (NOOIT!) meer terug, maar Lauren Conrad wordt door talloze herhalingen van Laguna Beach en The Hills geregeld aan haar modefouten herinnert. Eerder vertelde ze daarover al aan onze collega's van ELLE US:
'The early 2000s were an interesting period for fashion. And as much as I get shivers when I look at photos from that time, I'm comforted by the fact that most people standing around me were doing the same thing. It wasn't great, but I wasn't alone.'
Op 18 september wordt in Nederland de rëunie-aflevering van The Hills uitgezonden - de show bestond onlangs tien jaar(!), ja we worden oud -, en tijdens haar promotietour voor de LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection voor Kohl's verklapt Lauren nu over haar stijlkeuzes in 2006:
'There was a lot of camis. So, so many camis, and I wore a lot of shorter-than-capri length denim - almost more of a pedal pusher length. I'm really into cropped styles now, but I wore a lot of mid-calf denim. I definitely don't need that to make a comeback.'
Daarnaast verklapt ze waarom ze zoveel haarbanden droeg in die tijd:
'I was just always too late on getting my roots done, so I wore headbands to cover my roots up. I recently found out that behind the scenes, The Hills' producers were trying to figure out how to get me to stop wearing headbands.'
